This project was the renovation of an historic, eleven-story, apartment building in the Rittenhouse Square area of Philadelphia, that offers 144 single-room occupancy apartments for low-to-moderate-income individuals. Kate’s Place was constructed in 1926 as the Warburton Hotel and was converted into the Lucy Eaton Smith residence for single, low-income women by the Dominican Sisters of Elkins Park in 1952.
